I have really enjoyed incorporating ITC into my classroom in a more purposeful way. My class are frequently using their wikipages to display homework, reading and writing work. The possible learning activities in terms of writing is endless with the students giving feedback on their own and their peers work. It seems they are far more willing to edit and rework their writing on line rather than in their books. The students have shown an extremely postive attitude towards the changes we have made in the class by incorporating more ICT. They are able to grasp a concept very quickly and extend themselves by delving further into each idea.
I personally really enjoy using ICT and love that my students have embraced it so eagerly. I do get frustrated when the computers don't work and find this really hinders the kids progress and enjoyment. For example our class and room 8 have been buddied up to do stories on the wiki page and kerpoof , they were all so excited but lately with the server upgrade it has been near impossible to log on and get onto certain sites. Many kids have been disheartended by this, as have Justine and I.
My next step is to ensure I can sustain my students interest and maintain the use of the wikispaces. My worry is that they will tire of the current sites we use , so I need to make sure I am keeping on top of new sites and ideas to keep things fresh and interesting .
